Well kaoru seemed to get that when she was 10 after the first meeting and I think shiho and aoi stull don’t. I think that is just that power of hers (which makes me wonder if the children will gain more powers later) that senses espers that need help. Because he clearly needs it. Sadly he is not so simple as to just be able to have it blasted out.

Still believes in him. Which is probably why she can never finish him off. This entire thing with feather!kyousuke must be incredibly painful because it’s proof he can still be saved. Feather!kyousuke could not exist if there was no good left in him. There is enough left to make an entire person from it.

It’s really kind of “duh” I don’t know why she is the only one who seems to realize it. I wish someone would say it outloud so he could hear it because he still thinks he’s a monster. :’)

Yeah it is sad it seems like a waste and missed opportunity

honestly as much as I want him back to normal lets face it, he currently is without all his horrible trauma memories and gets to play with kaoru all day this is probably just about happy hyoubu heaven for him.

I don’t think anything has happened that will help sway him at all. They mostly kept him hidden he has only had contact with BABEL basically so there is no learning to forgive normals because some of them aren’t assholes or anything. If he was staying at teenager mode longer sending him to school would have been a good idea because being around the normal kids would probably would have been a good influence on him ~~and i am sure mio would have made him feel pretty damn good about himself.~~

But yeah idk how anything they actually did is going to help. Maybe if he was actually evil and not just warped, but feather!hyoubu isn’t a different person, he’s just normal hyoubu after pressing “return to factory settings”. He was a really sweet kid to begin with I mean really

casual reminder that if satome hadn’t shot him he was going to go use himself as a fucking nuke shield. He doesn’t need help being good, he needs help fixing all the damage from the horrible shit he’s been through to readjust his moral compass.
